STARS REI partnered with Akridge in 2016 to purchase 1101 and 1111 Sixteenth Street, outdated brutalist structures that previously served as the home of the American Association of University Women and the American Beverage Association. With the international design expertise of HOK, STARS REI and Akridge combined the two buildings into a single, trophy, multi-tenant office building, which was delivered in December 2018.
