Patricio Leighton

President

As President of STARS REI, Patricio has contributed to developing the company’s strategy, geographic expansion and new capital partner relationships. He also serves as CEO of STARS Investment Management Company, STARS REI’s parent company, which manages a diversified investment portfolio of commercial real estate, publicly traded securities and private companies. Previously, he was the CEO of Corpcapital, CorpGroup’s asset management firm and held investment banking positions at Bice Chileconsult – Rothschild.

Patricio has a Master’s of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Administration from Universidad de Chile.

Oscar Boettiger

CEO, Head of Real Estate

As Chief Executive Officer of STARS REI, Oscar is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, asset management strategies, investment activities and partner relations. During his tenure, STARS REI has invested over $800 million through more than 25 acquisitions and development projects and currently manages a portfolio of over 1.3 million square feet. Oscar also serves as a Board Member at INDESA, a real estate development company based in Chile. Prior to STARS REI, he held investment banking positions at Credicorp Capital and Citigroup Global Markets, being responsible of the execution of over $10 billion in advisories, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions in the Andean Region.

Oscar has a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Cristina M Dawson

SVP, Head of Asset Management

As the Head of Asset Management for STARS REI, Cristina is responsible for devising and executing the portfolio’s strategic plans, including operations, leasing, capital investments, divestiture or disposition efforts, and partner relationships. Cristina works on a daily basis with operating partners on projects and management efforts. Before joining STARS REI in 2016, Cristina was a Vice President at Spear Street Capital, an office-focused private equity fund, in their New York office.

Cristina has a Master’s of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

Joaquin Canessa

VP, Investments

As Vice President for Acquisitions at STARS REI, Joaquin is responsible for identifying investment opportunities in the US, leading transaction executions and financings. Joaquin has transacted more than fifteen properties valued in more than $500 million.

Joaquin has a Master’s of Business Administration from the Columbia Business School in the city of New York, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Administration and a Master in Finance from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Felipe Bertoni

VP, Portfolio Management

As Vice President of Portfolio Management of STARS REI, Felipe is responsible for ensuring portfolio performance by managing risk and providing a clear strategy towards acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and leverage on a portfolio basis.

He also leads the Company´s investments efforts in London and the Bay Area. Over the course of his career, Felipe has led transactions of over $500 million.

Felipe has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
